Why Do I Need to Sign an Authorization Form for Data Removal?

To ensure your personal information is processed and removed legally and securely, data brokers now require explicit proof that Control+ has permission to act on your behalf.
To fulfill these legal privacy requirements (such as CCPA and CPRA), we are rolling out a brief Authorization Form within the Control+ app.

What is the Authorization Form?

The authorization form is a standard legal agreement that appoints Control+ as your authorized agent. By signing it, you grant us permission to submit opt-out and data removal requests to data brokers on your behalf under applicable privacy legislation.

Important: This authorization is only valid while you are an active subscriber of Control+. If you stop using our service, this authorization becomes null and void immediately.

Who Needs to Sign It?

• New Users: You will be prompted to review and sign the authorization form as part of your initial onboarding process.

• • If your data removal requests are currently in progress, they will be paused until your signature is received.
  • Once you sign the form in the app, your removals will automatically resume where they left off.

How to Sign the Authorization Form

1. Open the Control+ app on your device.
2. Navigate to the prompt asking for your signature.
3. Type your full name into the Signature field. A preview of your formatted signature will appear below.
4. Tap Next → to submit.

Why were my data removal requests paused?

If you are an existing user, data brokers require an updated signature from you to process any pending or new removal requests. As soon as you sign the authorization form in the app, we will unpause your requests and continue submitting removals.

How will I know if I need to sign?

You will receive an email and in-app notifications/push notifications with the title "Action needed ✍️" reminding you to sign the form. If you haven't signed after a few days, you will receive a follow-up reminder.

What happens to my authorization if I cancel my subscription?

Your privacy and control over your data are our highest priorities. The authorization form is strictly bound to your active subscription. Should you cancel or stop using Control+, the document becomes null and void immediately.
