Why Is My Protection Not 100%?

Control+ provides multiple layers of protection, but your score will only reach 100% when all available features on your device are active. Here's how to check and enable them.

Check your protection features

  1. Open the Control+ app and go to the Home screen.
  2. Find Your services.
  3. Check the status of each feature. Any feature marked Inactive or Set up needs your attention.
  4. Enable the available features: Identity Protection, Call Protection, and, on iOS, SMS Protection. For SMS Protection, select Control+ as your SMS filtering app.

🛡️ Identity Protection & Dark Web Monitoring

  • Control+ scans the dark web for any known leaks involving your email and phone number.
  • If your data is found, you'll receive detailed information about what was exposed, such as your name, address, or passwords.
  • This allows you to act quickly to secure your accounts and protect your identity.

✉️ SMS Protection (iOS only)

  • SMS Protection automatically filters suspicious and fraudulent text messages.
  • After selecting Control+ as your SMS filtering app, dangerous messages are moved to a junk folder, keeping your inbox clean and protecting you from phishing attempts.

📞 Call Protection

  • Call Protection blocks unwanted and spam calls before they reach you.
  • You can view blocked numbers and manage them directly in the app, including whitelisting trusted numbers or permanently blocking others.

🗑️ Data Removal

  • Control+ automatically submits removal requests on your behalf to hundreds of data broker sites.
  • You can track progress directly in the app and we continue monitoring to make sure your data stays off.

What Does My Protection Score Mean?

Your score reflects how many features are currently active. For example:

Active Features

Protection Score

All features enabled

100%

Some features inactive

50%, 66%, etc.

No features active

0%

💡 Tip: Each layer works together to give you the most comprehensive security and privacy coverage. Data broker removal progress is separate from the protection percentage shown on the Home screen.
