Here's What Control+ Can Do to Keep You Protected

Control+ helps protect your personal information and reduce scam exposure through the following features:

🗑️ Data Broker Removal

Data Broker Removal identifies and scrubs your personal information from "people search" sites and marketing databases. Control+ automatically sends opt-out requests on your behalf to remove your home address, phone number, and family details from the web. This reduces your digital footprint and makes it harder for scammers or stalkers to find you.

🛡️ Identity Protection

Control+ scans the dark web for any known leaks involving your email and phone number. If your data is found, you'll get detailed information about exactly what was exposed, like your name, address, or passwords. This way, you can act quickly to secure your accounts and protect your identity. Monitoring continues throughout your subscription, with alerts when new exposures are detected.

📞 Call Protection

Call Protection blocks unwanted and spam calls before they reach you. You can see which numbers were blocked and manage them directly in the Control+ app — whitelist trusted numbers or block them permanently for peace of mind.

✉️ SMS Protection (iOS only)

SMS Protection filters out suspicious and fraudulent text messages automatically. After you select Control+ as your SMS filtering app, any dangerous messages will be moved to a junk folder. This helps keep your inbox clean and protects you from phishing attempts.

Control+ also provides ongoing alerts for detected breaches, dark-web activity, and suspicious calls or texts. It is not an antivirus system and does not scan for or remove viruses or malware from your device.

Control+ is different from a browser ad blocker: it focuses on spam calls, fraudulent messages, data-broker removals, and breach monitoring. Browser pop-up ads may come from the websites you visit or from an unfamiliar app on your device. To reduce them:

1. Clear your browser data from Settings > Privacy > Clear History & Website Data, selecting All Time where available.
2. Close the Control+ app and restart your phone to clear temporary glitches.
3. Check your phone’s Settings > Apps for unfamiliar apps that may be generating the pop-ups.
