We completely understand how frustrating spam and scam calls can be — especially when they continue after installing protection. Many customers expect all unwanted calls to stop instantly, but modern spam systems unfortunately don't work that way.

Scammers constantly change and rotate phone numbers. Many spam operations use:

- Temporary numbers that are discarded after use
- Automated robocall systems that generate new numbers constantly
- Local-looking numbers designed to appear trustworthy
This means that even after one number is blocked, scammers may immediately begin calling from another. No spam filtering system can guarantee 100% instant blocking — our system improves over time as it identifies new patterns.

Control+ helps reduce unwanted calls through several layers of protection:
- Spam and scam number filtering: Known spam numbers are automatically identified and blocked.
- Community reporting: When users report spam numbers, those reports help improve protection for everyone.
- Data broker removals: One of the biggest reasons spam continues is because personal information spreads across hundreds of online databases. Control+ works in the background to locate exposures, submit removal requests, and reduce where your number appears online. As those removals complete over time, fewer scammers are able to access your information.
⏳ Why Protection Takes Time
Data broker removals are not instant. Each broker processes requests individually, and many take days, weeks, or sometimes longer to comply. This is why the app may show In Progress status or low removal percentages at first — the protection is actively working in the background even when visible progress appears slow.
⚙️ Make Sure Everything Is Fully Enabled
For the best protection, confirm that:
- ✅ Call Protection is active under Your services on the Home screen.
- ✅ SMS Protection is active and set up correctly (iOS only).
- ✅ Your device was restarted after setup.
- ✅ Your profile is fully completed with accurate personal details.
Some protections cannot activate correctly until setup is fully finished.
