Call Screening — FAQ

What is Call Screening exactly?

It silences calls from numbers that aren't in your contacts, has our AI secretary ask who's calling and why, and notifies you only if the message matters. See What Is Call Screening? (How It Works) for the full flow.

Who can use it?

Currently US-based iPhone users only, on most major carriers with call forwarding support. We can't guarantee carrier support in advance — only after you run the setup test call. Roughly 5% of setups aren't eligible today, and we're working to expand carrier coverage.

Does Call Screening replace my voicemail?

Yes, for unknown callers — screening takes over from your carrier voicemail once it's active. Contacts you've already saved still reach you normally and are unaffected.

Will I miss an important call from someone not in my contacts?

Only if the AI decides the call wasn't important — and even then, nothing is deleted. Every screened call, notified or not, stays in your Screened Calls log.

A legitimate automated caller (my pharmacy, bank, etc.) got screened out — what do I do?

Save that number as a contact. Saved contacts always ring through and skip screening entirely.

How do I turn Call Screening off?

In Control+ → Call Protection, turn the Call Screening toggle off. You can also remove the forwarding code from your iPhone's Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding if you want to fully restore normal carrier voicemail.
