My payment has Failed – What should I do?

If your payment didn't go through, don't worry — this can usually be resolved quickly.

📌 Why Payments Can Fail

Some common reasons include:

  • Your card has expired or was declined
  • Insufficient funds
  • Your bank blocked the payment for security reasons
  • Your payment details need to be updated
  • The payment attempt was canceled before it completed

📌 What to Do Next

1. Check Your Payment Method

2. Contact Your Bank
Sometimes banks automatically block unfamiliar or international transactions for security reasons. A quick call to your bank can confirm whether the payment was blocked on their end and allow them to approve it. If your bank approves the transaction, try submitting the payment again.
3. Try a Different Payment Method
If your current card continues to fail, try using a different card or payment method to complete your purchase.
Double-check that your card number, expiry date, and CVV were entered correctly — small typos are a common cause of payment failures.
5. Try Again Later
Occasionally, payment failures are caused by temporary issues with payment processors. Waiting a few minutes and retrying can sometimes resolve the problem.

📌 If You Don't Recognize a Charge

If a completed charge is not yours, contact your bank or card issuer immediately and report it as unauthorized. Ask whether they can block future payments from the merchant. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, billing and refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you see a charge that appears duplicated or differs from the amount shown by Control+, send support a screenshot showing the transaction details so it can be investigated.
6. If Payment Was Canceled During Setup
A canceled payment does not complete and cannot activate your subscription. If you still want to subscribe, contact support to request a direct invoice; once payment is completed, your subscription can be activated and setup completed.
