# My Internet Is Not Working With Control+ On

Control+ does not slow down or limit your internet connection. However, **Browsing Protection** checks the websites you open at DNS level (the step where your phone looks up a website's address). This means it can affect whether certain websites load.

## First, check whether a website was blocked on purpose

If only one website doesn't open and you see a blank page, Browsing Protection may have blocked it because it was rated **dangerous (red)**. You'll also receive a notification from Control+ explaining the risk. See *A Website Was Blocked — What Should I Do?*

## If no websites or apps load at all

1. Open the Control+ app and turn **Browsing Protection** off \[CONFIRM: exact path, e.g. Home → Your services → Browsing Protection].
2. Try loading a website again.
   - **If it now works:** turn Browsing Protection back on and restart your phone. If the issue returns, contact our support team.
   - **If it still doesn't work:** the issue is most likely with your network. Continue with the steps below.

## Other common causes

- **Network or ISP problems:** Connection drops are often related to your Wi-Fi, mobile network, or Internet Service Provider.
- **Other VPN, proxy, or DNS apps:** Only one VPN or DNS-filtering app can be active on your phone at a time. If you use another VPN, ad blocker, or Private DNS setting, it may conflict with Browsing Protection. \[CONFIRM]
- **Other apps or background processes:** Heavy network usage by other apps may slow down or interrupt your connection.

## 🔧 What You Can Do

- **Restart your device or router.** This refreshes your connection and resolves most temporary issues.
- **Turn off any other VPN or proxy temporarily** and check whether connectivity improves.
- **Close background apps** that may be using a large amount of data.
- **Check other devices on the same network.** If they're also affected, the issue is likely with your network.
- **Contact your internet provider** if the problem persists across multiple devices.
