# How to delete my account?

If you'd like to delete your Control+ account, you can request this directly within the app.

## ⚠️ Before You Delete
Please note that deleting your account will:
* Stop all active data broker removal requests on your behalf.
* Remove all your personal data and protection history from our system.
* Cancel your access to all Control+ features.
* **Not replace subscription cancellation.** If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the appropriate billing channel first to prevent future charges. If you did not subscribe, there are no subscription charges to cancel; account deletion alone does not create a payment obligation.

## How to Delete Your Account
1. Open the Control+ app and go to the **Profile** tab.
2. Tap **Account**.
3. Scroll down and tap **Delete Account**.
4. Follow the on-screen steps to confirm.
Alternatively, you can contact our support team directly and we'll process the deletion for you.

## After Deletion
* You have **30 days** to restore your account if you change your mind. After that, your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
